HALL OF FAME 2006

ARLETTE DEMEULENAERE

Director of Finance, VAC, Kuurne, Belgium.

On the 15h of December 2006, the second GOODMARK HALL OF FAME trophee and diploma have been honored by Goodmark's chairman Mr. S.G. Volcke at the VAC plant in kuurne, Belgium. Present where the whole workforce of VAC and its management, several guests from our branches in Holland (Goodmark Europe BV), Hong Kong (Goodmark Asia), and Wales (GAC), agents (Spain, Portugal) and friends from the Volcke family.

Mevr. Arlette Demeulenaere started her career in VAC in August 1972. This young but very dynamic company founded by Mr. S.G. Volcke was producing aerosols and developed quickly a world wide market for its originally technical aerosol products. In 1976/77 there was a merger with VOLCHIMA, the company founded by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Volcke, the parents of Mr. S. Volcke. Mevr. Demeulenaere was responsible for the accountancy of the growing company: new product lines were added (Christmas articles, among others) and the name changed to VOLCKE EUROPE for the sales force. This was the real beginning of the Goodmark Group with at its cradle: Mr. S.G. Volcke (founder and chairman), Mr. M. Van Overstraeten (sales and marketing for VAC) and Mevr. Demeulenaere (accountancy and financial director).

Mevr. Demeulenare grew professionally with all the stages of the companies' development and as well as being the chief accountant for VAC, became financial director and director of Human Resources for VAC. She was involved in all the acquisitions and expansions of the group driven by Mr. Volcke's vision. Arlette tells in a short video, made on the occassion of the Award Ceremony in December that she was very happy to have been given all the best opportunities to learn and grow professionnally. Mr. Volcke, together with the manangement all confirm her to be a very loyal and reliable director and colleague, very well loved by all the workforce. All of the VAC people agree on her being the listening ear when they addressed her withsmaller and bigger problems.

After more than 30 years in VAC Mevr. Demeuilenaere now enjoys more freedom as she retired from the company in 2006. She still acts as a financial consultant for the company but with a very well proportioned balance with her private life.
